Having worked with Giorgi Kitchens 20 years ago, when the house was built, they again enlisted the designer for their “new” kitchen remodel. This time, their contemporary flavor stretched into creating a unique Biedermeier-styled room, which showcased granite counters, a Pyrolave dramatically blue-colored working surface and a Bizzazza 1″ x 1″ glass tile mosaic at the backsplash.
The working kitchen is a tightly organized 3-wall configuration, with the primary sink looking out into the garden and a hard-working “walk-around/talk-around/cook-around” island. These two primary surfaces are supported by the oversized – and dramatically showcased – refrigerator on the back wall. Although not obvious at first, it is along this wall that the microwave is artistically concealed behind specially paneled doors.
Adjacent to this area, the former breakfast nook has been transformed into a game room and adult entertainment area with a flat cut maple finish and walnut peg accented wine bar, a newly resurfaced glass mosaic fireplace and game table.
