Unique Backsplash in Wilmington, Delaware

This old house has never looked so good with this newly remodeled Shaker Style Arts and Crafts complete with a unique backsplash. With the help of built-in style appliances and the use of a corner range this small kitchen has turned into a cook’s dream. This “empty nest” couple wanted a kitchen that would allow one cook to bake and prepare meals for her guests with delight. Unique backsplash behind the stove wall adds a level of cook’s creativity. A 30″ Viking electric range placed on a diagonal allows for ample counter space on the left and right. The designer worked with the bump out on the refrigerator wall and offset the counter to maximize counter space. They also came up with a variety of unique backsplash designs for the homeowners to choose from. The stainless-steel chimney style hood creates a design focal point along with practical ventilation. A shallow depth 30″ wide built-in Sub Zero refrigerator/freezer makes efficient use of the space and allows for plenty of cold storage. Open shelving and glass storage ensures plenty of cabinetry without closing in the space.

Across from the main working area sits a decorative hutch unit that provides additional storage and houses the built-in convection microwave which works as a second baking/cooking area. This decorative element coincides directly with the unique backsplash tiles. The quartz countertops are complemented by the recycled glass ceramic tile backsplash, which creates a unique backdrop with a warm feel, that is also eco-friendly. The hood selection was based upon visual design appeal, proper ventilation and size requirements.
