The homeowners constructed an addition to accommodate the master bathroom design of their dreams. He, a retired designer, had grand ideas of what they needed and what they could not live without – comfort and functionality. So with his knowledge and master bathroom designs and the help of his son, also a designer, they came up with a plan that would be aesthetically pleasing, exceptionally functional and truly comfortable.
Let’s start with the in-suite laundry room – She was sure this was a necessity. Largely to turn their home into one floor living for their retirement years and also because it’s just so darn convenient! This was included in the master bathroom designs layout Whirlpool Duet washer and dryers where chosen and the room is completed with a laundry sink for true functionality.
We were both in agreement when it came to the shower area – it must be steam for comfort and the glass is treated for ease of cleaning. Noce tiles and a 1″ x 1″ Noce Mosaic lend a warm welcome into the shower with two niches for their personal items. They also both knew they did not want to follow the trend of master bathroom designs without tub. A relaxing soaker tub is perfect at the end of a long day.
His and Her adjacent matching Plain & Fancy Custom vanities in cherry with Pietra Imperiale granite tops add beauty and keep things just separate enough when primping to go out. The custom cherry mirrors are flanked with light fixtures purchased while in Italy. A Plain & Fancy custom free-standing armoire with an Antique Celery finish helps to meld all the color tones in this space and of course adds needed linen storage.
His and Her walk-in closets, warm floors throughout and a separate water closet finish out the theme…Functional Comfort!
